Merry belated Christmas! Ho! Ho! Ho!
For Christmas this year, we got our 2-year-old some gingerbread men as a healthy snack food option. Being the mummy, it is unavoidable that I would be the unofficial food tester. Well, I had my first bite and immediately thought that it was not very sweet. Obviously, the claim about being sweetened with natural sugar (grape juice) is true.
This is in line with their “No Junk Promise”. In fact, this was what caught my eye as soon as I held the orange box in my hand. Researching online, I found out more about Organix Goodies.
Organix wants a world where healthy nutritious food is a real choice for everyone. We’re committed to setting standards in our food and never adding anything unnecessary. It’s our No Junk Promise. We campaign for better food choices because we want the best for you and your family every step of the way. Organic, Wholegrain — more vitamins, minerals & fibre, No junk promise, No artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fat, No added salt, Suitable for vegetarians.
Next thought, it was not as ‘spicy’ as ginger (less than 1%) should be so that was good for kids. However, after having seen Gingy the Gingerbread Man in Shrek, my son had more fun playing with his food than eating it.
For friendly little explorers… our gingerbread men are delicious, so run run as fast as you can to catch your very own gingerbread man!
If you want to feed your children snacks with no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, no junk; choosing organic snacks automatically provide them with the best nutrients.
The list of ingredients:
- Organic Wholegrain Wheat Flour (30%)

**Thiamin (Vitamin B1) is an essential nutrient for growing children
What I do not like, however, is the packaging. Once opened, you would have to store the remaining gingerbread men in an airtight container.
Also, please keep the gingerbread men away from children under 12 months for fear of choking. And if your children have allergies, please note that the gingerbread men are made from wheat and traces of nuts may be present as the snacks are produced in a factory that handles nuts.
Another plus that we like are the many many varieties of Organix Goodies that children may like to eat. Some of them are: Alphabet biscuits, Animal biscuits, Carrot stix, Tomato Cheese & Herb puffs, Raisin bars, etc. This mummy can’t wait to try them all … to provide more healthy snack options for my son, of course. Ahem!
