If you have read my review on Livelock First Step 1 building blocks, you would know that my son (and me) loves to build and explore. And being exposed to The Lego Movie, Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, Lego City, Lego Nexo Knights, etc. it was just a matter of time (and money) before we got him his first set.
In this time and technology age, children are getting more tech-savvy. More so when they are exposed to technology at an early age. From computer games to toy drones, some kids these days need more than just a simple book to keep them interested.
I love having a son. Not only do I get surprise hugs and kisses, I get to play with his toys too. And one of his toys that I really like to play with is called Livelock from Japan — a DIY building block/assembling system. What I really love about these building blocks is that they challenge the boundaries of your imagination.
If you have a son who runs away every time you mention ‘shower time’, you understand how it feels having to reason with (or drag), cajole or even bribe him to take his shower. Therefore, there have been things I have had to prepare in order to make it less of a hassle: his favourite bath toys (his toy police car, some building blocks, etc.), new toys to play with and skin care essentials, to name a few.
Every time someone is cooking in the kitchen, my son has been trying to ‘cook’ too. A Masterchef in the making, I can only hope. While I wholly agree to the idea of him learning to cook, letting him near a hot stove at his age is something else altogether. So, his father did the next best thing. He got him a Play-Doh Meal Makin’ Kitchen set.
Ever since we bought him the Peipeile Dough Fastfood Center, he has been asking for ice cream, strawberries, cars, fire trucks, robots, etc. made out of dough. So, since we wanted to check out and compare the quality of the different brands of modeling items, purchasing the Play-Doh Meal Makin’ Kitchen set seems to be the ideal solution.
I still remember those days where, as a child, I used to play with plasticine in pre-school. Though the smell left much to be desired, the joy of creating animals (especially snakes as they were so easy to shape and mold), vehicles and of course, food, more than made up for it. Hours and hours of fun just creating something out of lumps of colorful plasticine.
Ever since my son got his first few Hot Wheels toy cars, he has been fascinated with cars. When he was younger, he was only interested in aeroplanes. Now, it is racing cars, police cars, fire trucks, etc.
Therefore, not too long after, his Dad got him a Fast Lane Parking Garage. And you should have seen how his face lit up and the “Wow! Wow! Wowww!” he kept exclaiming.
We’ve come up with a list of 9 bath toys that will definitely excite any child.
There are a number of baby toy phones out there in the market today but none come with the same level of features and sophistication as the VTech Touch and Swipe Baby Phone.
The Tomica Storage Carrier Truck is a toy truck that also doubles as a storage system for Tomica die-cast vehicles. It is part of Tomica’s range of playable storage toys which also includes four other playable storage systems.
